This article is a very brief guide to the very first few things to do on a new wiki!

The six stepsEdit

1. Sort out a clean main page with links to various important pages and sections. This page may make or break your wiki.
2. Write a short introduction on what the wiki is about for the Main Page.
3. Make sure somewhere exists for prospective and current editors to chat about the wiki.
4. Create the most important articles first and get them organised simply.
5. Get a logo, even if it is a stop-gap design - it will help give your project an 'identity'.
6. Tell people the wiki exists, and make sure they feel welcome when they come!

From this, your wiki should have a solid foundation for the near future!
