Advice is a new Wikia project collecting advice from experienced wiki founders and admins.

Help pages have to be general, and one size fits all -- but everybody who's run a successful wiki has their own set of tricks and experiences. We'd like to give other founders the benefit of that hard-earned wisdom.

What you write on your Advice page is up to you. You can write a general page of tips, or focus on a specific area. You can write a funny story about your wiki, or explain how you've helped your community to grow.

If there's something unique about your wiki -- a different way that you organize the content, or a new trick for getting readers involved -- this is an opportunity to show it off, and let other people see how it works.

It's okay if the pages overlap and repeat stuff, and it's also okay if they contradict each other. We want to create a collection of pages that people can browse through, and find the advice that makes the most sense for them.
